Sustainable Development Effect on Organizational Networks With Mediation of Contingency Theory in the Horn of Africa

This chapter investigates how organizational networks are impacted by sustainable development, with a particular emphasis on the mediating function of contingency theory in the Horn of Africa. A survey was conducted with 400 participants, including of sustainability specialists, executives from organizations, and network managers from the Horn of Africa (Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, and Ethiopia). To find the underlying dimensions, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were used. The data's appropriateness for factor analysis was evaluated using Bartlett's test of sphericity and the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) measure of sampling adequacy. The mediating function of contingency theory was subsequently investigated using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of this research offer significant understandings into how the incorporation of sustainable development concepts might impact the establishment, configuration, and functionality of networks of organizations around the Horn of Africa.
