AIoT self-service terminals hold the promise of revolutionizing public service delivery in developing countries. This paper explores the challenges and opportunities of deploying these terminals in Zimbabwe. A comprehensive literature review, combined with hypothetical scenarios grounded in existing research, examines infrastructure limitations, digital literacy, security concerns, economic constraints, regulatory hurdles, and sociocultural factors. Despite these challenges, the potential benefits in terms of improved service delivery, economic growth, digital inclusion, and data-driven governance are substantial. By addressing these challenges and leveraging the opportunities, Zimbabwe can harness the power of AIoT self-service terminals to drive progress and improve citizens' lives.
