This data was used for the development of a dynamic financial computable general equilibrium (CGE) model for South Africa. The new hybrid model, the University of Pretoria General Equilibrium Finance Model (UPGEM-F), integrates real and financial aspects of the South African economy and is based on the Center of Policy Studies (CoPS) CGE modeling approach. The data comprises two sets: the financial data and the real economy data. The two sets were integrated to develop the base for a hybrid CGE model that includes the aspects of real and the financial economy of South Africa for the year 2017.
