The genomic classification of South African indigenous cattle

This dataset is for the next generation sequencing technologies which were used to evaluate and verify the genetic relationships between South African cattle breeds. This enabled us to determine evolutionary relationships more accuratley. The figure was constructed using SNP data generated from GATK best practice methods and bioinformatics tools to reconstruct the genomic relationships. This relationship has been reported in previous studies, and its construction was important for testing the reliability of employed strategies before the inclusion of novel datasets from other parts of the continent.
