SYNOPSIS The African genus Chaetastus Nunberg (= Symmerus Chapuis nec Walker) is reviewed, and a key is given to the males and females of the five species now included, one of which is described as new from material taken in Uganda. Redescriptions are given of the other species, and their distribution and hosts are recorded. A note on their biology and economic importance is included.
