This research examines the impact of industrialization on unemployment in Nigeria: an empirical analysis. The broad objective of this study is to assess the relationship between industrialization and unemployment rate in Nigeria and to determine the import-export market and unemployment rate in Nigeria. The secondary source of data collection was adopted in the study where relevant data were retrieved from CBN statistical bulletin within a time frame of 20 years (2005 – 2024). The regression method was used to analyze the data using e-views 9. The findings revealed that there is a significant relationship between the import-export market and unemployment rate in Nigeria and that there is a significant relationship between availability of goods and unemployment rate in Nigeria. The study recommended among others that government should implement industry-friendly policies to encourage the inflow of industries across the country so as to compact unemployment in all spheres.
