This chapter explores the potential of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) to address the effects of climate change on rural farmers' livelihoods in Zimbabwe. Through a qualitative approach, we examined the traditional farming practices and indigenous knowledge of rural farmers and how best these practices and knowledge could be integrated with AI to address the impact of climate change on rural farmers, guided by Sustainable Livelihoods Framework (SLA) in Zimbabwe. We adopted Interpretive as the paradigmatic positioning of the study. Data was generated through interviews and focus group discussions with participants who were selected through purposive sampling. Our findings highlight the importance of community engagement in the development and implementation of AI-IKS integrated solutions. The study recommends blending of modern technologies and indigenous knowledge in addressing the impacts of climate change on rural farmers.
