This policy proposal presents a national strategic vision for advancing nursing in Egypt toward 2035. It proposes an integrated framework linking nursing education, clinical training, language preparation, quality improvement, patient safety, project management, research, innovation, leadership, specialization, international mobility, national and international awards, and economic development.
The proposed model introduces the concept of an Egypt Global Nursing Pathway, a National Nursing Workforce Observatory, Nursing Innovation Labs, a Graduation Project to Impact Pathway, national nursing excellence and innovation awards, and structured government-to-government nursing mobility partnerships.
The proposal emphasizes that international professional mobility should not contribute to uncontrolled workforce depletion. Instead, it should be planned according to national workforce needs and designed to create mutual benefit for Egyptian nurses, the Egyptian healthcare system, and destination countries.
The broader objective is to position Egyptian nursing as a strategic component of national human capital, healthcare quality, research, innovation, knowledge transfer, international competitiveness, and economic development
