This paper argues that the Yoruba normative concept of Eniyan is the foundation for good character and nation building. The work expatiates on teaching the concept of Eniyan as a moral being that experiences existence and has the capability to legislate reality in an inter-subjective world. Eniyan emphasizes good character, reciprocity, respect for human life and right behavior towards others. The purpose of teaching this concept is to shape the character of the youths for social cohesion and train them for harmonious relationship and future leadership responsibilities in a multicultural world. The conceptual and critical methods were employed to prepare the mind for logical and ethical reasoning, quality decisions and cultural understanding. At the end of the study, the youth is expected to demonstrate ethical maturity in interpersonal relations as well as exhibit the traits of superb upbringing, comportment and a knack for living peacefully with people of different cultures.
