The Roles of Maritime Logistics Development in Oil and Gas Operations in Nigeria

The chapter examined the roles of maritime logistics development in Oil and Gas Operations in Nigeria: A Blue Economy Concept. The chapter was anchored on Stakeholder's Theory and Resource Dependence Theory. The chapter design adopted was the scientific method of qualitative research approaches whereby the study was based on assumptions made on primary sources of data including interviews with personnel onsite and other professionals, a cross-sectional survey of unstructured questionnaire, visitation to the worksite. This chapter was domiciled in Rivers State covering 13 tank farms in the coastal ports and Onne Port as focus logistics centre for most oil and gas outlets within the Port Harcourt Bonny Islands. The qualitative study evaluated data based on observations, interviews, reports, and physical examinations carrier out by the researchers and sections with various operators of onshore and offshore services.
