Through the lens of the landmark Alumni-University of Botswana Student Housing Appeal (ALUBSHA) project, this paper explores the pivotal role of the University of Botswana Alumni Association in the development of its alma mater. By examining the impetus, fundraising methodologies, and ultimate success of ALUBSHA, the paper underscores the significant contributions of the alumni, through their organised association, to the infrastructural growth of the University of Botswana. This analysis provides insights into the dynamic relationship between alumni associations and university development in the context of higher education in Botswana.
