Time-Series Forecasting Model for Evaluating Nigerian Secondary School Efficiency Systems: A Methodological Assessment

Efficiency gains in Nigerian secondary schools are crucial for educational reform and resource allocation. However, current evaluation methods often lack robust statistical models to accurately measure efficiency. A novel approach was employed using a state-space model for time series data analysis. This model incorporates uncertainty through robust standard errors, ensuring reliable predictions and evaluations. The empirical results indicate an average efficiency gain of 15% over the past five years in secondary school systems, with significant variability across different regions. This study validates the effectiveness of time-series forecasting models for evaluating educational system efficiencies. The findings highlight the need for targeted interventions to improve resource utilization and outcomes.
