Participant comments on documentary film recorded by Hans-Joachim Heinz among Taa-speakers in Botswana in 1972. The film shows the fabrication of a sieve from fibres. The sieve is used for sieving the seeds of tsamma melons after they have been roasted in the hot sand underneath the fire. The second part of the film shows how the seeds are stamped in a mortar. Afterwards a woman cleans her face with the paste from mashed seeds. At first, 021-ST thought the protagonist in the film was working a door grating for a house which is obviously made in the same way as fibre sieves but of bigger size.
