Tomtomming stop epenthesis in Santome

This paper discusses historical stop epenthesis in /sl/ sequences in Santome (Forro), a Portuguese-related creole language spoken on the island of São Tomé in West Africa. It is argued that this feature is a case of phonologically-motivated internal development triggered by secondary contact with Portuguese.
