First, Sammy told Rebecca and Saskia a little story about the installation of the new paramount chief. Then Rebecca and Saskia presented Sammy with English sentences which he translated to Avatime. The sentences were designed to find out more about the raising of tones on certain verbs. The story was told in Avatime. English was used for elicitation and discussion of Avatime sentences.
