The recording at the center of this item is a song. This funeral song was composed by Ocam Ajobong from Nyibodo Village in praise of Wol Awang. Nobody will protect Alyebjok Village after the death of the son of Kwecnwon. God took the chiefs of Nyikango and who will protect the shrine? Atumaybong died leaving people tired with troubles. Anongo has returned back his servant. This item consists of a recorded Shilluk narrative (wav file), accompanied with annotation (in Praat TextGrid) and associated information: metadata, permissions and speaker questionnaire. The associated information is also summarized, in a spreadsheet. The TextGrid annotation includes Shilluk orthography, translation, and comments.
