Tuuni was one of the last in her village to convert to Christianity. For a long time she believed lightning would kill the churchgoers. A preacher applying social pressure forced her to reconsider her arguments. One of the repeated sections that form her story is transcribed (partly with tone) and translated into English and transliterated Amharic.
