This study examines how Twitter aided the youth mobilisation for the EndSARS protest and if the Celebrities' tweets on Twitter instigated participation by the youth. An online questionnaire-based cross-sectional study design was adopted for this research. The information collected with the questionnaire includes the sociodemographic parameters, information on the role of social media in their participation in the end SARS protest, and the contribution of celebrity tweets. A total of 308 respondents aged between 20 – 39 years were interviewed by the end of the study, and their descriptive analysis was presented using SPSS version 25. The result showed that most of the participants in the EndSARS protest were moved by the information gotten from the Twitter space 231(75.0) and that posts on Twitter influence the decision-making processes of many of the respondents but to different degrees. Unexpectedly, though a significant number 154(50.0) of the respondents followed celebrity tweets during the protest, many 182(59.1) claimed those tweets had no additional influence in encouraging them to join the protest as they would have still participated in the protest with or without them.
