Uganda (2013): TRaC study measuring IUD and PAC service readiness among public health facilities in 30 districts in Uganda. Round 1.

Public health facilities contribute about half of the modern family planning methods in Uganda . However, the low rate of IUD provision is also evident in the public sector. This study sought to identify the degree of service readiness by public facilities to provide IUDs. It also sought to determine their readiness to provide PAC services. A cross sectional study design was used. An observation checklist and structured interview were conducted at over 300 public health facilities in 30 districts in Uganda.
