This dataset contains 61,821 geo-referenced urban sound recordings from Kampala and Entebbe, Uganda, each paired with sound pressure level (SPL) measurements and rich metadata (timestamp, location, recording device, category label). It is designed for environmental noise mapping, urban sound classification, and spatiotemporal analysis in low-resource urban contexts. The collection emphasizes context-specific classes (e.g., boda-boda motorcycles, religious venues, hawkers/vendors, community radios, mobile music, nightlife venues) alongside common urban sources (traffic, horns, sirens, construction).
