GITpy is an opensource software package developed in Python for applying the Generalized Inversion Technique (GIT) to datasets of Fourier Amplitude Spectra (FAS). It consists of four distinct modules to derive a suite of regionspecific spectral parameters (i.e. source, attenuation, and site parameters), through an inversion scheme to separate the different contributions and applying subsequent modeling tools. GITpy is the result of a collaborative project between scientists from the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, Italy (INGV), German Research Centre for Geosciences, Germany (GFZ), University of Genoa, Italy (UNIGE), National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics (OGS).
