Walking travel time to nearest primary and secondary school in Tanzania

School Accessibility (Travel-Time) Rasters – Tanzania National 100 m travel-time rasters estimating the time (in minutes) to the nearest primary and secondary school across Tanzania, generated using a least-cost path algorithm (CPAS methodology - see Scientific Data paper citation below). A friction surface was built from road networks (HOTOSM), land cover (ESA WorldCover 2021, 10 m), and slope (30 m DEM), with spatially varying walking speeds assigned by road class and land cover type. Two versions are provided for each school level: one treating water bodies as impassable, and one allowing water-crossing for otherwise unreachable areas. Outputs support accessibility and equity analyses, including alignment with the 2022 DHS.
