WEKA - Machine Learning On Science Gateway

The poster describes the architecture of one of the Sci-GaIA project "champion" use cases proposed for the e-Research Summer Hackfest (see sci-gaia.eu). The use case regards the integration of the Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis (WEKA) collection of machine learning algorithms for data mining tasks in the Africa Grid Science Gateway. WEKA will be trained with the Wisconsin Breast Cancer datasets from the UCI Machine Learning Repository to help doctors in Tanzania to distinguish breast cancer from benign samples. The poster has been presented at the Sci-GaIA Workshop on "Open Science in Support of Education", which was held in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) on the 5th of September 2016 (see agenda.ct.infn.it).
