When Conflict Is Close: Localized Exposure, Maternal Health, and Early-Life Outcomes in Sub-Saharan Africa

This replication package accompanies the manuscript "When Conflict Is Close: Localized Exposure, Maternal Health, and Early-Life Outcomes in Sub-Saharan Africa." The study examines the relationship between armed conflict and maternal and child health across multiple Sub-Saharan African countries by integrating Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) data with geocoded conflict events from the Uppsala Conflict Data Program's Georeferenced Event Dataset (UCDP-GED). The analysis investigates how conflict occurrence, timing, trajectories, and severity are associated with birth size, breastfeeding, and pregnancy termination.
