The aim of this study is to understand farmers’ preferences for technological innovations and elicit their willingness to pay (WTP) using dataset of a sample of 501 peri-urban farmers from Addis Ababa city, Ethiopia, and applies a contingent valuation method. The data are analyzed using probit and OLS models, i.e., Heckman Two-Step procedure to determine the factors that influence WTP. Results suggested that most peri-urban farmers are willing to adopt and have non-zero WTP for technological innovations. Findings also shed light on the various factors that underpin the decision to adopt, and their WTP.
