This dataset provides labeled cashew plantation data covering a 120 km² region in central Benin. It includes 12 spectral bands: 10 multispectral bands from Sentinel-2 and two SAR bands (VV and VH) from Sentinel-1. Each pixel is annotated with one of several classes, including Well-managed plantation, Poorly-managed plantation, No plantation, and Other.
The labels were generated through a combination of ground truth data collected using handheld GPS devices and refined using high-resolution Airbus Pléiades imagery. The dataset reflects conditions as of May 10, 2025.
The data spans 25 different acquisition dates, and after preprocessing, consists of 1,800 image patches. There is no exact temporal match between Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 images; however, the maximum time difference between paired images is 6 days, with the closest available SAR image selected for each multispectral acquisition.
