This dataset consists of articles with news in Chichewa. The articles come from three large news publishers in Malawi: The Nation newspaper online version, the Malawi Broadcast Corporation, and Radio Maria. The articles presented in the dataset are full articles and span many different genres: from social issues, family, and relationships to political or economic issues. The articles are therefore split into three sets according to the source. There are a total of 3,482 articles, containing over 930,000 words, and over 48,000 sentences. The articles have been categorized into 19 categories.  The PDF document attached described the dataset and the classification of each of the three sub-datasets.
