Afro-Linguistics is a field within linguistics that studies language families in Africa and their historical development. A qualitative review of existing policies and potential new mechanisms to enhance research funding and institutional support for Afro-Linguistics studies. There is a notable trend towards increased interest in Moroccan Afro-Linguistics but limited structured support from government and academic institutions, particularly regarding language documentation and comparative analysis. Current policy frameworks lack comprehensive support for Afro-Linguistics research, necessitating new mechanisms to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and resource allocation. Develop dedicated funding streams, establish a national database of linguistic resources, and encourage inter-institutional partnerships focused on language conservation and comparative studies.
