The main purpose of this study was on awareness and utilization of virtual reality among Computer Science Education lecturers for enhanced teaching in Tertiary Institutions in Enugu State. Two research questions and two corresponding hypotheses guided the study. The research design adopted for this study was a descriptive survey design. The study was conducted in Tertiary Institutions in Enugu State. Enugu State has five public tertiary institutions, three universities (University of Nigeria, Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu and State University of Applied and Medical Sciences), two Colleges of Education (Federal College of Education, Eha-Amufu an Enugu State College of Education (Technical), Enugu) and Institute of management and Technology, Enugu (IMT). The population of the study was made up of the entire Computer Science lecturers in all the five tertiary institutions in Enugu State, with the estimated number of 184 lecturers in the five tertiary institutions in Enugu State. Accidental sampling techniques was used to sample 184 lecturers in the five tertiary institutions in Enugu State. The instrument used for the collection of data was questionnaire titled “Awareness and Utilization of Virtual Reality among Computer Science Education Lecturers for Enhanced Teaching in Tertiary Institutions Questionnaire (AUVRACSELETTIQ). The research purpose, scope, research questions, hypotheses and questionnaire items were submitted to three experts all in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science Education, ESUT for face validation. The researcher administered 20 copies of questionnaire to computer Science Education Lecturers in tertiary institutions in Ebonyi State. The correlation co-efficient obtained using the Cronbach method of estimating reliability was 0.74, this indicates that the instrument has acceptable reliability. The researcher with the help of trained research assistants which are the Computer Science lecturers in the sampled schools distributed the instruments to the respondents including the researcher. Research questions 1- 2were answered using mean and standard deviation. Hypotheses 1 and 2 were tested using t-test statistic at .05 level of significance. The study revealed that lecturers are aware of virtual reality for enhancing teaching in tertiary institutions and that virtual reality were not adequately utilized among lecturers for enhancing teaching in tertiary institutions. From the findings of the study, it was recommended among others that school governing board have to help in equipping computer science laboratories in all universities, colleges and polytechnics, so as to make the teaching and learning more comprehensive.
