
Reproducibility package for a reanalysis-driven GIS multi-criteria screening of wind resource, terrain and a population-based demand proxy across the 116,076 km2 Centre and South administrative polygons of Cameroon.
Contents. Provider data as collected (ERA5 monthly single levels 1991–2023; NASA POWER daily point data for Kribi 1983–2023; NOAA ISD hourly records for six Cameroonian stations; geoBoundaries ADM0–ADM2; Copernicus DEM GLO-30; Hansen Global Forest Change v1.11; JRC Global Surface Water v1.4; ESA WorldCover v200; Meta HRSL v1.5); the decoded and combined station record; the full analysis pipeline; every archived numerical result; all manuscript figures; and the manuscript source and PDF.
Headline results. Polygon-masked wind power density ranges 6.3–56.5 W m-2 (bootstrap 95% CI 53.8–59.4 W m-2 at the domain-maximum cell, 4.125°N 11.225°E). 14.9% of the eligible area — 17,336 of 116,025 km2 — falls in the two highest relative-priority classes. A two-parameter Weibull fit is rejected by a Kolmogorov–Smirnov test at all six stations.
Read reproducibility/KNOWN_ISSUES.md first. The archive contains no simulated or imputed values; datasets that could not be obtained are documented as missing rather than substituted. It does carry two disclosed defects: the archived OpenStreetMap extract is truncated and unusable (no result depends on it), and the ad hoc scripts behind the v10 revision were not folded back into the pipeline, so the v10 deltas are documented but not directly rerunnable. Everything up to and including v9 is fully script-backed.
Scope. This is a screening study, not a bankable wind-resource assessment: no mast, no hub-height measurement, and a seeded N=1,500 stratified sample of the hourly reanalysis rather than the full record.
