The crucial aim of our article is to examine the major ethical challenges resulting
from the rapid evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI), highlighting issues such as algorithm
transparency, liability for automated decision-making, data privacy concerns and the social
implications of increasing automation. It highlights the importance of increasing awareness of
ethical issues and the need to incorporate ethical principles into the design of AI systems.
In addition, the article discusses emerging perspectives on AI ethics, focusing on how
initiatives such as the Maroc Numeric 2020 Plan can serve as a framework for addressing
these challenges in the Moroccan context. It highlights how the plan can foster the integration
of specific ethical guidelines for AI, strengthen the regulatory framework to promote ethical
practices, and encourage social welfare-focused AI research in Morocco.
