A reproducible Python workflow investigating sustainable practice adoption among built environment professionals in Nigeria. # Beyond Awareness: Understanding the Drivers of Sustainable Practice Adoption Among Built Environment Professionals ## Project Overview This repository contains the complete analytical workflow, reproducible statistical analyses, and publication-quality visualizations supporting the research study: > **Beyond Awareness: Understanding the Drivers of Sustainable Practice Adoption Among Built Environment Professionals** Using survey responses from **147 built-environment professionals across Nigeria**, this project investigates why the adoption of sustainable practices remains uneven despite relatively high levels of sustainability awareness. The project combines **Python** and **SPSS** to perform descriptive statistics, exploratory data analysis, correlation analysis, multiple linear regression, diagnostic testing, and scientific visualization. All statistical findings reported in the accompanying manuscript were independently reproduced and validated to ensure analytical consistency and reproducibility. Beyond identifying statistical relationships, the study introduces the **Adoption–Contribution Gap**, a conceptual framework that distinguishes between sustainability domains professionals currently implement and those where they believe they can contribute most. This framework demonstrates that the principal challenge is enabling implementation rather than increasing awareness. --- # Research Problem Rapid urbanisation, increasing climate risks, and infrastructure deficits continue to challenge sustainable urban development across Nigeria.
