Ghana has a culture of naming children according to the day they are born and gender which is referred to as Akan name. This application allows the user to know their Akan name when they enter their date, month, year of birth and gender and their Akan name will be displayed. # GHANANIAN AKHAN NAMES #### This appliacation is for displaying the Akan name of the user, 18 July, 2021 #### By **Omega Melvin** ## Description This is a web application that takes a user's birthday , the gender and calculates the day of the week that they were born and then outputs their Akan names (Akan names are derived from Ghanian culture where children are given their first name as a 'day name' which corresponds to the day in the week they were born) depending on their gender, it outputs their ``Akan Name``. ## Setup/Installation Requirements * The user has to have a Github account, * Then have a terminal, * in the terminal, you ``git clone github.com`` * extract the file * cd to the Ghananian-Akan-names directory then open it in your browser. ## Known Bugs The output still has issues to correct inorder to work properly. ## Technologies Used * Html5 * Css * Javascript * Bootstrap ## Support and contact details If you have any issues or ontributions about the application, you are ecouraged to email me at ``melvinomega151@gmail.com`` ### License *{Determine the license under which this application can be used.
