Spaced Repetition app for Kiswahili Vocabulary # Kiswahili Flashcards A spaced-repetition vocabulary app for Swahili, built to live on one phone with no account, no server, and no sync. Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript — no build step, no dependencies, nothing to install. - **198 starter cards** with noun classes, plurals and example sentences - **SM-2 scheduling** (the algorithm Anki is built on), with learning steps, lapse handling and leech detection - **Works offline** once installed to your Home Screen - **Two study directions** — Swahili→English, and optionally English→Swahili - **Add and edit cards in the app**, or edit the deck JSON directly - **Export/import backup** as a single JSON file --- ## Getting it on your phone ### 1. Put it on GitHub From this folder: ```bash git remote add origin github.com ``` ```bash git push -u origin main ``` ### 2. Turn on GitHub Pages In the repo: **Settings → Pages → Source: Deploy from a branch → `main` / `(root)` → Save.** After a minute it'll be live at: ``` your-username.github.io ``` ### 3. Installed, the app opens full screen, works with no signal, and gets iOS's durable storage tier. **Left as a normal Safari tab, iOS may delete your progress after seven days without a visit.** --- ## About your data Everything lives in `localStorage` on the one phone you study on. There is no server and nothing to sign in to, which is what you asked for — but it means: - Clearing Safari's website data wipes your progress - A new phone starts from zero - Your progress and your wife's are naturally separate, since they're different phones **So export a backup now and then.** Settings → Export backup gives you a single JSON file you can drop into Files, iCloud, or email to yourself. Import restor …
