This project converts official Nigerian inflation indicators into an interactive dashboard that makes food inflation easier to monitor and explain. ### MVP features 1. Year-on-year food inflation trend. 2. Month-on-month food inflation pressure. 3. Twelve-month average food inflation. 4. Automatic highest/lowest selected-period insights. 5. Detection of months with negative month-on-month food inflation. 6. Selected state-level snapshots for July and September 2025. 7. January 2025 uses the rebased CPI series, so annual-rate comparisons should be interpreted with awareness of the base-year/rebasing effect. ### Key findings - Food inflation was 26.08% YoY in January 2025. - It was 21.97% in June, 22.74% in July and 21.87% in August. - It fell to 16.87% in September, 13.12% in October, 11.08% in November and 10.84% in December. - September recorded -1.57% month-on-month food inflation. - The selected state snapshots show substantial regional variation. ### Limitation The state panel is a selected snapshot, not a complete 36-state + FCT dataset.
