COVID-19 data repository and geospatial visualization of daily statistics in Nigeria. # COVID-19 Data Repository and Geospatial Visulazation This is a daily updated data repository and geospatial visualization of Coronavirus confirmed cases, recoveries and deaths in Nigeria since first case reported on Frebruary 28th, 2020. ## Table of Contents * Installation * Project Motivation * File Description * Licensing, Authors, Acknowledgements ## Installation The code requires Python versions of 3.*, Jupyter Notebook web application, and general libraries available through the Anaconda package. ## Project Motivation This data repository was created to provide users with a segmented and more understandable overveiw of Nigerian COVID-19 statistics. ## File Description The `explore.ipynb` file is a Jupyter Notebook that contains code for cleaning and exploration of the dataset. The `covid_nigera.csv` and `time_series.csv` files are comma delimated formatted files that contain up to date cleaned dataset used in the project. The png extension files are map and graph visualizations of daily statistics. Finally, the shapefile subdirectory contains geospatial SHP files used for map ploting. ## Licensing, Authors, Acknowledgements The data used for the exploration are sourced from Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC and Center for Systems Science and Engineering's (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University JHU
