This scholarly study examines how Global Citizenship Education (GCE) might change Nigeria's social and economic environment. In order to address the issues confronting Nigeria's educational and socioeconomic institutions, it theoretically looks at how Global Citizenship Education might act as a catalyst for social regeneration and economic development. The study was guided by an operational conceptualization of the concepts of economic development, social reconstruction, and global citizenship education. In its transformative form, education literally transforms society and fosters equality, justice, a more tolerant society, better population quality, poverty reduction, national health improvement, a drop in crime, and an increase in social life, according to the study. Global Citizenship Education was also found to be a powerful tool for social reconstruction, which will eventually transform into long-term economic growth and usher in a productive Nigeria by promoting civic engagement, critical thinking, global responsibility, and multicultural awareness. Nigeria has a great chance to achieve long-term social, cultural, economic, political, and technological change, according to the paper. This can be achieved by incorporating and implementing technology into its educational system, which will create citizens who possess the transformative skills necessary to positively impact society.
