This study explores the benefits and challenges of adopting Smart and Innovative Agricultural
Solutions (SIAS) in Nigeria, with a focus on building resilient future farmers in Delta State,
Nigeria. A quantitative research approach using a modified Manifest Content Analysis (MCA)
technique was employed to deduce the narratives of more than a few researchers to identify
several benefits of integrating SIAS into Agricultural education, including enhanced crop
yields, increased efficiency and productivity, improved market access, and environmental
conservation. However, challenges such as financial constraints, knowledge gaps, climate
change, and policy barriers hinder the adoption of SIAS. A theoretical framework based on
Resilience Theory is proposed to address these challenges. The study recommends a SIAS
framework that incorporates resilience enhancement measures, Agricultural education,
sustainable agriculture practices, digital innovations, and policy support. The findings highlight
the importance of building resilience among future farmers to ensure a sustainable food
future in Nigeria. Based on this narrative, the study recommended among others that the Delta
State Government should invest in agricultural infrastructure and digital technologies, develop
and implement policies that encourage SIAS adoption, and enhance agricultural education and
training.
