Investigating the impact of severe floods on biogeomorphic change in wetlands using remote sensing: dataset and code

This notebook contains the supporting code and data for the related publication, including: R scripts, Google Earth Engine code (javascript), CSV files, and shapefiles used for data analysis. The project aimed to assess the impact of the September 2023 floods on palmiet wetlands in the Cape Floristic Region, South Africa. This was done by quantifying changes in wetland vegetation cover and bareground/soil extent after the floods. The dataset provides all the resources necessary to reproduce the analyses performed in the study and is intended for research, educational purposes, and further analysis of wetland dynamics.
