Kenya Diet Quality Questionnaire for Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF DQQ)

This file is the current Diet Quality Questionnaire for Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF DQQ) adapted for Kenya and translated into relevant languages. The IYCF DQQ is an approximately 6-min survey module for standard indicators among infants and young children aged 6-23 months, designed for integration into existing multi-topic surveys. The child's caretaker is the respondent.

It is validated for data collection for SDG 2.2.4 (MDD-C) and the IYCF indicators published by WHO and UNICEF, 2021. It was adapted with the input of key informants following the methods published by WHO and UNICEF, 2021 and Herforth et al., 2025 (references below). This version has additionally been vetted by the survey team for the 2022 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey.
