The datasets include tables, figures, and research instruments. A scoping review of 92 studies was conducted to enhance our understanding of the relationships between mobile-based digital technologies (MBDTs), gender, livelihood diversification, and poverty alleviation in the Global South, indicating that MBDTA faces persistent and unaddressed challenges. Mixed-method approaches were employed to capture both qualitative and quantitative aspects of households. Data were collected through structured surveys using the electronic data collection tool, Kobo Toolbox. Econometric models such as ordered logit, item response theory, IV Tobit, and endogenous switching regression were employed to analyze the collected data, which aims to answer the research questions. The study used a multistage sampling technique to select the respondents. A combination of binary logit, ordered logit, item response theory (IRT), instrumental variable Tobit, and endogenous switching regression (ESR) models were employed to analyse data collected from 278 respondents in 2024.
