Relationship Between Written Entrance Examination Scores and Structured Interview Performance Among Nursing and Midwifery Applicants in Ghana: A Prospective Observational Study

This prospective observational study examines the relationship between written entrance examination and structured interview performance among nursing and midwifery applicants in Ghana. Using 2026 admissions data from the Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Koforidua, it analyses associations between scores on an NMC developed electronic MCQ examination and a structured interview score, ISP, across five domains: Appearance, Self Expression, Current Affairs, Aptitude, and General Knowledge. It also assesses whether programme, interview day, and interview panel are associated with interview performance, generating context specific evidence on applicant selection.
