Gendered Algorithmic Divide in Ghana: Survey Dataset

This dataset contains survey responses from 1,500 young people (aged 15–35) across five regions of Ghana. It was collected to investigate the gender algorithmic divide, STEM participation, and the frontiers of AI in Ghana, addressing a critical gap in empirical research on the gendered algorithmic divide in Sub-Saharan Africa. Cross-sectional quantitative survey as the first phase of a sequential explanatory mixed-methods study. The survey instrument adapted the Digital Competency Scale (DCS) validated in Ghanaian higher education contexts (Amoah et al., 2025) alongside novel measures of AI awareness, tool adoption, and technology-facilitated harassment. Files in this dataset include the following: - `survey_data.csv` – Raw survey data (1,500 rows × 24 columns); - `codebook.csv` – Variable definitions and value labels; `survey_instrument.pdf` – Full questionnaire (English); and `README.md` – Overview and usage instructions
