The infusion of Artificial Intelligence, otherwise known as AI, into the educational system is reshaping the landscape of educational supervision, with significant implications for both management and counselling practices. This article explores the role of AI in enhancing the supervision process from the perspectives of school managers and counsellors, focusing on how AI technologies can optimize administrative tasks, improve decision-making, and support student well-being. School managers are increasingly relying on AI-driven systems to streamline daily operations, monitor performance, and allocate resources efficiently, leading to more effective management structures. Counsellors, on the other hand, are leveraging AI to better understand student needs, predict behavioural trends, and provide personalised guidance, ultimately improving the overall student experience. This paper examines how AI tools (predictive analytics, learning management systems, and sentiment analysis) contribute to more informed decision-making and efficient administrative processes. With these insights from both school managers and counsellors, the paper provides an overview of AI’s potential benefits in school supervision. Thus, the need for educational reforms that align supervision practices with Nigeria's digital transformation goals is sacrosanct. Implications for future school supervision practices and directions for further research are discussed. In conclusion, the paper posits that AI can serve as a powerful tool for school supervision when used thoughtfully and collaboratively by both school managers and counsellors. It is recommended, among other things, that school administrators use AI’s capabilities to foster more effective, responsive, and supportive educational environments.
