A systematic scoping review mapping the nature, extent, and distribution of peer-reviewed evidence on CRISPR-Cas genome editing in Nigerian human health, and synthesising the structural, regulatory, technical, and sociocultural barriers associated with the absence of experimental or clinical CRISPR research in Nigeria. Conducted and reported in accordance with the JBI scoping review methodology and the PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). Databases: PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and African Journals Online (AJOL), from inception to November 2025, with no language restriction.
