Data on the Open Educational Resources differentiation in Global South

This file set contains a single dataset Final Open Educational Resources differentiation in Global South dataset_sent_24_04_2020_excel.csv, in .csv file format.The dataset contains the information about 28 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in 9 countries (Brazil, Chile, Colombia; Ghana, Kenya, South Africa; India, Indonesia, Malaysia). The study’s survey dataset compares respondents’ Open Educational Resources (OER) use against a variety of demographic, contextual and pedagogical variables to understand which factors seem to have the greatest influence on whether, instructors/students from Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in the Global South, have used OER. There are 4784 entries of a 26-question survey applied to students in the 2015-2017 period, addressing the following themes: personal demographics, infrastructure access, institutional environment, instructor attitudes, and open licensing.For details on the design of the survey, please read the related article.
