The International Potato Center (CIP) and its partners are breeding and promoting orange-fleshed sweetpotato (OFSP) as a food-based approach to combat vitamin A deficiency (VAD) and related health problems in Africa. In this context, this dataset contains information about 11 sweet potato varieties released in Ghana, Burkina Faso and Kenya. These varieties show morphological characteristics, storage root attributes and other major features, as well as, consumer qualities .
