Digital Community Heritage and Open Access: Report of the Creative Commons Open Culture Working Group

Presentation of the Creative Commons Open Culture Working Group "Digital Community Heritage" How are community heritage initiatives developing in digital settings and in relation to open access? How can digital community heritage projects be defined, categorised and analysed? What are some open-source software, tools and platforms created or used among digital community heritage initiatives?

In the course of a year through monthly meetings, the Digital Community Heritage Working Group mapped and analysed digital community heritage initiatives in the context of open access and inclusive digital transformation, which included:
- Collecting international cases
- Performing data analysis and visualisation
- Providing insights into patterns and trends
- Identifying good practices and common challenges in the field

This webinar presents and discusses the findings of the multilingual report and data-driven study on community-related digital heritage initiatives that are created inside, outside and in-between GLAM institutions, presenting their methodologies and practices in relation to public engagement, open-access and open-source developments.
