The data focus on the reportage of the recent conflict situation between the herders and farmers in Nigeria by the three top Nigerian newspapers (The Punch, Vanguard, and Guardian) as rated by Alexia in 2019. The year of focus in this data ranges from 2017 – 2019. This is because the conflict started gaining momentum in the year 2017 and was considered as serious national issue which required an urgent intervention. In 2018, the crisis reached its peak with several killings recorded mostly in the northern parts of the country and some significant incidents in the South East and South West. Data captures the year, date of reports, date of incidents, location, title of the articles and a link to the news report. This enhanced the construction of a trend analysis from 2017-2019 on the issue of herders-farmers conflict.
