Google Earth Engine (GEE) JavaScript script used to extract Sentinel‑2 MSI Level‑2A imagery for dry seasons (January–March) 2021–2025 for four study areas in Sudan: Uro, Kurun, Marra, and Mun Mountains. The script calculates the Modified Normalized Difference Water Index (MNDWI) and selects the Near‑Infrared (NIR) band (B8). Median composites are generated for each year and area, and the resulting rasters are exported as GeoTIFFs at 10 m resolution for subsequent visual assessment in QGIS. This script supports the analysis of hydro‑disturbance patterns associated with artisanal mining in conflict‑affected zones.
